St. Joseph Health System Chooses Accenx as Its Ministry Integration Platform

CHICAGO (December 16, 2009)Accenx™, a wholly owned subsidiary of Initiate Systems, Inc., a leader in data management solutions for information sharing and improved data quality, announced today that St. Joseph Health System (SJHS) has chosen Accenx as its partner to aid in the integration of its hospitals with affiliated physicians. The Accenx solution, Accenx™ Exchange, was selected because its fully managed, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform will enable SJHS to meet its aggressive timeline, without cutting into personnel resources or sacrificing the quality of the integration.

With locations throughout California, New Mexico, and Texas, SJHS was looking for more than just connectivity; it wanted a true partner that could handle the intricacies of an exchange. “In the past, we have done our own integrations and know the level of complexity it takes to create a quality exchange,” said Jeff Allport, vice president, IT Solutions Delivery at St. Joseph Health System. “We chose Accenx not just for its technology, but for the experience and commitment they bring to their partners. Accenx’ SaaS model allows us to support our mission of improving the health of our communities by being able to quickly connect with our physician community, while giving us the flexibility to expand the scope at our own pace.”

“Here at Accenx, we admire the efforts that SJHS is putting forth to help create as healthy of communities as possible,” stated David Cheng, CTO of Initiate Healthcare. “We are excited to work with SJHS and to help establish its health information exchange, so they can continue to focus on their patients’ quality of care.”
